Rolling Storage Units

 

Rolling storage is just what it sounds like – storage containers on wheels. What a neat concept, huh? I was excited when some genius finally but wheels on coolers, so when I first discovered rolling storage, I was ecstatic! Why didn’t someone think of this years ago? Wheels are definitely the way to go when you’re trying to move heavy loads, and if you have as much “stuff” as I do, you’re definitely going to deal with a lot of heavy loads.

 

Different types of rolling storage

 

There are many different types of rolling storage contains, including some that are item specific. Of course, you could use them for practically any item, but they definitely lend themselves more to the specific items for which they were designed. One such example is the rolling pants trolley.

 

The rolling pants trolley is especially made for…you guessed it…pants! The box-like device has hangers attached that you can hang the pants or slacks from. The pants will stay neatly stored, with that just-pressed look, and they can be moved easily.

 

A more general type of rolling storage is the industrial rolling workbox. This is a large container on wheels that’s great for storing large items. It includes a hinged lid and a pull handle, and it’s resistant to moisture and dust.

 

A larger version of the above, sans lid, is the industrial container with dolly. This puppy can hold up to 600 pounds and comes with a steel dolly. The dolly isn’t attached to the box, so the box can be lifted from the wheels for storage.

 

Another great example of rolling storage is the rolling storage drawer set. This is a set of drawers, in different sizes, that are connected together and on wheels. This would be perfect for moving and storing small items that you don’t want to get all tangled up together.

 

Rolling storage bins are deep plastic containers with airtight lids. These types of rolling storage containers are wonderful for holding dry dog food, horse feed, and bird seed. The airtight seal will keep contents fresh for months.

 

The rolling storage bag is basically a box with a plastic lining and a zipper closure. This is what you need for putting away those winter clothes to make room in your closet for summer fashions. The plastic protects items from moisture, and the box protects them from mice, insects, and crushing.

 

I think this one is my favorite – the rolling shoe trolley. This is a flat rack on wheels that can be easily rolled under your bed. Most of the shoe trolleys hold twelve pairs of shoes, so I’ll need about twenty trolleys. Yes, I collect shoes!

 

Here’s another cool one: the rolling storage shelf unit. This is essentially a large set of cube shelves on wheels. Since it’s upright, you won’t have to “stand on your head” to find items. The cubes are deep enough to ensure that your items will be secure when being moved from one location to the other.
